Spring 2025

One more time! Another year with turtles to look forward to. And if it's anything like last year some frogs and snakes as well.

Above you can see some recent activity. Clockwise from top left: turtle eggs that were harvested from recent nests; a snapping turtle with a significant scrape on the left side of its face; a nest protector over a nest; a turtle mom laying eggs and a nice bullfrog.

If you see a turtle, frog or snake trying to cross the road, and it is safe to do so, please help it across. You can find information on how to do that for turtles here: CWF Helping Turtles.

And if you see an injured turtle, even if they appear dead, please give us a call.

This year we will continue looking for turtle nests and putting out nest protectors. We will also be conducting a census of the herps in our survey area to establish a benchmark for future years.

Give a call or donate if you would like to help.
